He has honed his skills by applying the principles taught by Patsy Rodenburg, Director of Voice at London's Royal National Theater, and by Dick Orkin, the prolific writer, performer and producer of thousands of legendary radio commercials. He began his formal training at the university level with oral interpretation of Literature. Mike has won numerous gold, silver and bronze Addy awards for TV and radio as well as a Markie Silver Reel award. An EMMY was awarded to the Mike Urben narrated Birth of a Colony, a PBS North Carolina production. Clients include Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola, Subway, Duke Energy, Georgia Power, McDonalds, Goodyear, Chevrolet, IBM, Century Link, GSK and Raytheon.
