Tysen D'Eston hails from Toledo, Ohio, where he made several short films during his senior year in high school. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Psychology and soon thereafter moved to Los Angeles. He began his acting studies and career in earnest once he arrived and continued steadily throughout his time there. Those studies included various forms of the Meisner and Alexander Technique, Stanislavsky's Methodology, and short-form improvisation. He also performed in many student films from the acclaimed American Film Institute. In tandem with studying, he worked immediately and continuously throughout that time as a professional. Although he booked his very first audition which was an independent horror film, he realized jobs would not always come this easy. It took time, but he was fortunate enough to work in such avenues as primetime network television, independent feature films/shorts, commercials, 99 seat theatre, and studio extra work. He was also constantly looking for ways to develop his own projects, as he had done with a music video and shorts. After twelve years in LA, he took that opportunity and moved back to Columbus to try his hand at developing a full-length movie of his own. He had spent the past decade writing screenplays on the side and decided his fourth attempt was worth a shot. So he did just that and wrote, produced, directed, starred in and edited the narrative feature, Fields Adrift. It World Premiered at the Cinema Columbus Film Festival and went on to win Best Feature at the Maumee Film Festival (Toledo, OH) and Best Lead Actor at the Culver City Film Festival (LA, CA). He performed regularly on a long-form improv team and looks forward to collaborating on many more projects within the Columbus arts community.
